Barbara Cooper

Barbara Cooper, 77 of Creston, Iowa entered eternal rest Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Crest Haven Care Center.  Private graveside services will be held at Graceland Cemetery.  Memorials may be directed to the Barbara Cooper Memorial Fund, c/o Pearson Family Funeral Service, 809 W. Barbara Jane Cooper was born June 3, 1946 in Washington State, the daughter of Howard, Sr. and Inez Matilda (Wilkerson) Grissom.  Barbara lived most of her life in Washington State and Colorado.  She worked as a Certified Nurse Aide in a Denver, Colorado hospital in the Psychiatric Ward, all of her working life.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Allison Cooper. 

Barbara is survived by 7 children:  Paul “Kelly” Cooper, Jr.; Kathleen Gates; Michelle (husband Nathan) Miller; James Michael Cooper; Timothy Shawn Cooper; Jennifer Anne (husband Jake) Jaeckle of Clarinda, Iowa and Billie Marie (husband Jeff) Miller of Bedford, Iowa.  Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
