Bonnie Lou Mooney was born on April 29, 1935 to Arthur J. and Elnora G. (Shulte) OTool in Sac City, Iowa. Bonnie entered eternal rest on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at the Corning Nursing Rehab Center in Corning, Iowa, at the age of seventy three years, seven months and seven days.
Bonnie graduated from Sac City High School in 1952. After graduation, Bonnie began working in the Auditors Office at the Sac City County Courthouse. On February 18, 1958, Bonnie was united in marriage to Wilmer George Mooney in Sac City and three children were born to bless this union: David, Ronda and Teresa.
After Bonnie and Wilmer were married she became a housewife and homemaker. She loved to cook, enjoyed gardening and looked forward to canning season. Bonnie was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs baseball team. She adored her grandchildren and attended their events, such as her granddaughters dance recitals, until her health no longer allowed to.
Bonnie was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Corning, Iowa and a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Bonnie is survived by her son, David (wife Diane) Mooney of Utica, Nebraska; daughters: Ronda (husband Gerry) Hintermeister of Apex, North Carolina, Teresa (husband Scott) Shepherd of Corning, Iowa; seven grandchildren: Joseph, Danielle, Joshua, Tabitha, Tiffany, Rachel and Andy; sister, Leona Orth of North Bend, Nebraska; sister-in-law, Evelyn OTool of Sac City, Iowa; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding Bonnie in death were her parents; husband, Wilmer on March 6, 1985; brother, Mick OTool; two sisters: Marita Dick and Wanda Lubeck.
