Charles “Chuck” Edward Reich II, the son of Charles Edward and Margret Josephine (Mealey) Reich, was born January 11, 1955 in Clarksburg, West Virginia. Chuck entered eternal rest Friday, May 17, 2019 at his home in Corning, Iowa, at the age of sixty-four years.
Chuck graduated high school in Clarksburg, West Virginia. During school he worked with his father and uncle doing carpenter work until enlisting in the United States Air Force in June 1973. He was honorably discharged in April 1987 having served 14 years. This service included the Vietnam War and Faulkland Islands and Grenada Conflicts. Following his service, he held down numerous jobs providing for his family.
Chuck was united in marriage to Anna May Daggett on August 9, 1985, in Elk Point, South Dakota.
Left to cherish Chuck’s memory is his loving wife: Anna Reich, Corning, Iowa; daugther: Mellissa (Tom) Cadero, Bonney Lake, Washington; son: Charles Edward Reich III, Tacoma, Washington; twin daughters: Sarah (Wade) Smith, Middlesex, Virginia, and Ashely Hosner, Middlesex, Virginia; son: Shaun (Kendra) Reich, Carroll, Iowa; son: Matthew Reich, Coralville, Iowa; son: Joshua (Ashley) Reich, Nodaway, Iowa; daughter: Jennifer (Tom) Christensen, Keswick, Iowa; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; brothers: James (Tina) Reich, Lost Creek, West Virginia; Douglas Reich, Clarksburg, West Virginia; Andrew (Tiffany) Reich, Tecumseh, Oklahoma; sisters: Sherry (Bud) Deveroux, West Virginia; Betsy (Steven) Bowling, Leavenworth, Kansas.
Preceding Chuck in death were his parents: sister: Karen Benholm-Reich; mother & father-in-law: Theodore & Mildred Daggett.
