Debra Allbaugh, 68 of Creston, Iowa entered eternal rest October 8, 2020 at Greater Regional Medical Center in Creston. No services are planned.
Debra Jean Allbaugh, the daughter of Phillip Edgar and Darlene Evelyn (Miller) Allbaugh, was born September 4, 1957 in Creston, Iowa. Debra was educated in the Creston Public Schools and graduated with the Class of 1971. She received an Associate degree from Southwestern Community College in 1973. Debra was a life-long resident of Creston.
Following graduation from SWCC, Debra began working for Matura. During her 18 years at Matura, Debra worked 10 years at the front desk performing Clerical duties. The final 8 years, she was head of the Family Development Center. Debra then accepted a position at SIRF and worked 8 more years as a Direct Care Professional. Debra retired from SIRF at the age of 63.
Although Debra was never married, she is survived by her daughter, Stacy (husband Richard) Slight of Creston and 4 grandchildren: Ryan Weckman, Nicholas Weckman (significant other, Cheryl Richards), Andrea Slight and Jerica Slight (significant other, Shawn Van De Boe); Debra is also survived by her “bonus” grandchildren: Brandon Lawrence, Dylan Lawrence, Britany Garcia, Treasure Weckman and Mandee Barnes; her great-grandchildren: Torri, Layla, Cyprin, Gydeon, Zyplin, Jenna, Tavyd, Maddy, Amelia, Shyann, Logan and Miles; a sister, Shelley (husband Steve) Zimmerman of Creston; a brother, Jerry White of California; numerous nieces nephews, cousins and friends. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Debra was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Janice Besaw; maternal and paternal grandparents and other extended family members.
