Denny Moore

Denny Melvin Moore, son of Dean and Vera Evelyn (Cozad) Moore, was born September 13, 1959 in Clarinda, Iowa. Denny passed away at his home in Corning, Iowa, on March 3, 2025 at the age of sixty-five years.

Denny was a dedicated heavy machine operator, known for his skill in working with various private contractors throughout Iowa and Nebraska. He took immense pride in his work and was proud to be a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers.

In addition to his career in construction, Denny was also a talented professional billiards player. With his unwavering commitment to the game, he achieved significant success, earning respect in the billiards community.

Denny could light up a room with his smile and positive attitude. He loved making others laugh with his large catalog of jokes. Denny always had a story to tell and didn’t know a stranger.

Denny is survived by his loving sisters, Adrion (Sam) Gruber and Mary Kay (Jesse) Hitt, brother Danny Moore, sister-in-law Shirley Moore and many nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.

Denny was preceded in death by his parents and brother, David.

Services for Denny will be held at a later date.
