Donna Armstrong

Donna Lou (Kingery) Armstrong, age seventy-four, of Corning, Iowa, passed away on June 7, 2012 at her home in Corning.
Donna was born March 17, 1938 to Donald and Louise (Locke) Kingery in Las Vegas, New Mexico. She attended Corning Public School.
Donna was united in marriage to Samuel D. Armstrong on June 3, 1954. To this union two sons were born: Sammy, Jr. and Frankie.
Donna was a Certified Nurse Aide for thirty-two years at Rosary Hospital, Colonial Manor and she retired from Country Haven.
Donna enjoyed putting puzzles together, knitting and she was very good with crossword puzzles. Donna cherished spending time with her family and was the glue that held the family together. She was a very loving and strong woman who loved her kids and grandkids and she will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her husband, Samuel Armstrong, Sr.; two sons: Sammy (Gerry) Armstrong, Jr. and Frankie Eugene Armstrong, all of Corning, IA; eight grandchildren: Jennifer Armstrong of Windom, MN, Jamie Armstrong of Council Bluffs, IA, Rena Donahue of Garnaville, IA, Brandie (Chris) Law of Skidmore, MO, Anna Armstrong (Quentin Sickels) of Villisca, IA, Brooke Armstrong (Tommy Hensley) of Corning, IA, Storm Armstrong of Corning, IA and Liberty Armstrong (Dalton Cormeny) of Corning, IA; two step-grandchildren: Tammy (Frank) Grout and James (Tonya) Ahlhelm; four great-grandchildren: Taylor Ayers, Conner Law, Braydon and Treagan Hensley; six step-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Evelyn Jacobs of Council Bluffs, IA and Irene Kennedy of Fromberg, MT; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; two brothers: Gary and Larry Kingery; her mother-in-law and father-in-law; three brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law.
