Edna L. Page, 81, of Creston passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center, Des Moines, Iowa. Per Edna’s Request, Private Memorial Services were held at Pearson Family Funeral Service, 809 W. Montgomery St., Creston. Interment at Graceland Cemetery, Creston. The Edna Page Memorial has been established at State Savings Bank, 602 Sheldon St., Ste A, Creston, Iowa 50801. On-line condolences may be left at www.pearsonfuneralhomes.com.
Edna Lucille Page, the daughter of Everett John and Hattie Bertha (Hines) Meyer, was born on July 13, 1933 near Villisca in Montgomery County, Iowa. Edna graduated from Griswold High School with the Class of 1950. She married Leonard C. Page and they later divorced after twenty-two years of marriage. Edna worked for Gits Manufacturing for nearly twenty years, and then she worked for Greater Regional Medical Center in the Housekeeping Department for more than twenty years.
Left to cherish Edna’s memory are her daughters: Marcia Page, O’Fallon, MO; Denise Moore and significant other, Gary Beebe, Creston, IA; and Connie (husband Brad) Scott, St. Peters, MO; Nine Grandchildren; Nineteen Great-Grandchildren; her brother, Kenneth (wife Nola) Meyer, Red Oak, IA; her sister, Mary (husband Richard) Lister, Red Oak, IA; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding Edna in death were her parents; her ex-husband, Leonard Page; her granddaughter, Kali Moore; her former son-in-law, Jim Wiley; and her grandson-in-law, Joe Barber.
