Jane Lowe, 84 of Creston, entered eternal rest Thursday, May 14, 2020 at her home in Creston.  A public Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM, Monday, May 18, 2020 at Pearson Family Funeral Service & Cremation Center, 809 W. Montgomery Street in Creston, IA.  Inurnment will be at a later date in Vandalia, IA.  Memorial contributions may be directed to the Creston Kiwanis Club.  Memories and condolences may be shared online at www.pearsonfuneralhomes.com.

Jane Anne Lowe was born October 3, 1935 in Des Moines, IA, the daughter of Carl and Lettie Marie (Hershey) Mott.  Jane attended public school and graduated from Urbandale High School with the Class of 1954.  Following graduation, Jane worked for the Telephone company in Des Moines.  In 1955, Jane was united in marriage to Neil Parker at the First Church of Christ in Urbandale, IA.  Together, the couple were blessed with three sons:  Mike, Jeff and Kelly.  While raising her sons, Jane sold Avon products to help support the family.  She would later work for many years as a sales person for Sears & Roebuck in Des Moines.  In 1973, Jane and Neil were divorced.  Jane retired from Sears and later married Jim Lowe at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA.
In the mid 1980’s, Jane and Jim moved to Creston and purchased a business.  The couple operated J & J Southwest Tire Company for several years until it was sold to Heartland Tire.  Jane continued to work and managed the Super 8 Hotel for a few years.  She also sold Real Estate in Creston for Stewart Realty and later worked part-time for the Petznick Printing Company.
Jane was an active member of the Orient Plymouth Congregational Church for many years.  She served on the church board and was a member of the Ladies Mayflower Fellowship.  She also was a member of the Red Hat Society, the Creston Kiwanis Club and a social club named the “Grumpers”.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers:  John and Bobby Mott and by a sister, Helen Keeling.
Jane is survived by her sons:  Mike (Deb) Parker of Des Moines IA, Jeff Parker of Creston and Kelly Parker of Colfax, IA; 6 grandchildren:  Sara (Matt) Bunker, Hannah Parker, Chandler Parker, Kara Porter and Matt Porter; 1 great-granddaughter, Molly Bunker; a sister, Barb Karens of Ankeny, IA and by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  Jane will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
