Joe Cook

Joseph Jonathan Cook III, son of Kathleen (Ford) and Joseph Jonathan Cook was born June 28, 1945 at Indianola, Iowa. Joe entered eternal rest on Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at the age of sixty years, three months and twenty-one days.
Joe “Jon” Cook graduated from Corning High School with the class of 1963, he then attended one year at the University of Iowa. On December 4, 1976, he was united in marriage to Mary Ann Peterson at Villisca, Iowa.
He was a carpenter and operated Cook Construction for 30 years. Joe was very active in the Nodaway Corn Carnival.
He was preceded in death by father; infant son, Timothy Cook and brother, James Rae Cook.
Joe is survived by his wife, Mary Cook of Nodaway, Iowa; mother, Kathleen Cook of Corning, Iowa; sons, Jon and Jason McAlexander and their families; J. R. Cook of Clarinda, Iowa; daughters, Veronica Suzette Cook and Monique Danielle Cook of Nodaway, Iowa; brother, Jeffrey Alan (Jill) Cook, Gladestone, Missouri; sisters, Joan Kay (Marlow) Peterson of Osceola, Iowa; Jane Ann (Larry) Okasaki, Commerce City, Colorado; 1 grandson; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
