Kevin Connelly

Kevin Connelly, 65 of Lorimor, Iowa, passed away at his home on April 27, 2022. Memorial services will be 11 AM, Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Pearson Family Funeral Service & Cremation Center in Creston, Iowa. Rev. Jim Morris will officiate. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:30 – 10:30 AM. Kevin will be laid to rest at a later date. Kevin Edward Connelly was born in Creston, Iowa on April 26, 1957, the son of Leo William and Darlene Martha (Smith) Connelly. Kevin was educated in Afton, Iowa and graduated from East Union High School with the Class of 1975. Following graduation, Kevin moved to Osceola, Iowa where he began a 15-year employment with Steel Works, manufacturing Filing Cabinets. In 2000, due to the death of his father Leo, Kevin moved to Lorimor, Iowa and worked on the family farm with his mother. He loved helping on the farm especially caring for the cattle and working in his garden.

Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Leo Connelly; his maternal and paternal grandparents; 4 siblings: Joe Connelly, Diane Trosten, Pat Connelly and John Connelly; a sister-in-law and brothers-in-law; nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Kevin never married and is survived by his mother, Darlene Connelly of Lorimor, Iowa; 8 siblings: Cheryl Aeschliman of Winterset, Iowa; Paul (Liz) Connelly of Hurley, Missouri; Janet Connelly of Marshalltown, Iowa; Amy (Scott) Wehli of Ogden, Iowa; Dan (Darcy) Connelly of West Union, Iowa; James Connelly of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Beth (Terry) Hewitt of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Patricia (Felix) Cortez of Dennison, Iowa; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
