Laverne Sychra

Anna LaVerne Sychra, daughter of Anna (Walbridge) and Virgil Beaman was born October 29, 1923, in Adair County, Iowa. LaVerne passed away on Friday, June 7, 2013 at the Lenox Care Center at the age of eighty-nine years, seven months and eight days.
LaVerne graduated from Greenfield High School in 1942. She taught country school for almost 3 years in Adair County.
On April 14, 1945, LaVerne married Roy Sychra in Greenfield, Iowa. They lived on a farm south of Fontanelle, Iowa. LaVerne was a 4-H leader for twenty years.
LaVerne is survived by her daughter, Pat Stream of Lenox, IA; son, Bob (Marcia) Sychra of Washington, IL; son, Don (Debbie) Sychra of McDonough, GA; daughter, Judy (Chris) Bailey of Omaha, NE; grandchildren: Brett Stream of Lenox, IA, Aric (Angie) Stream of Bedford, IA, Angie Stream of West Des Moines, IA, Erin (Barry) Moore of Washington, IL, Andrew Sychra of Ames, IA, Sara Sychra (fiance Dave Elko) of Bethel Park, PA, Rachel (Travis) Hall of Apopka, FL, Alison (Jordan) Bowman of Smyrna, GA, Aimee (Dan) Dredge of Monroe, IA, Andrea Bailey of Longview, TX, Heather (Taylor) Humpherys of Atlanta, GA and Suzzanne Bailey of Omaha, NE; great-grandchildren: Palen and Dawson Stream of Bedford, IA, Emily Forsythe and Elise Moore of Washington, IL and Tyler and Nicholas Dredge of Monroe, IA; brother, Rich (Eileen) Beaman of Greenfield, IA; many nieces and nephews.
LaVerne was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters: Sadie Main and Marion Greenbeck; and brother, Virgil Beaman, Jr.
