Luetta Marie Klos, the daughter of Carl and Grace Irene (Beaman) Jennings, was born on January 20, 1931 in Clarke County, near Hopeville, Iowa. Luetta entered eternal rest on May 21, 2008, at the Greater Regional Medical Center in Creston, Iowa, at the age of seventy-seven years.
Luetta attended Hopeville and Murray Schools. Her father, Carl Jennings died in a construction accident and she was raised by her mother and step-father, Merle Lewis. Luetta married Irvin Froit and they later divorced. On October 9, 1958, she married Robert Earl Klos at Omaha, Nebraska.
Luetta lived in the Afton and Arispe areas all of her adult life. She worked as a Nurse Aide for many years at the Eblen Nursing Home in Afton and later retired due to being diagnosed with Lupus. Luetta was affiliated with the United Methodist Church.
Left to cherish Luettas memory are her children: Linda (Harvey) VanHeeswyk, Afton, Iowa; Douglas Froit, Creston, Iowa; Debora Hudson, Des Moines, Iowa; Edward Froit, Creston, Iowa; and Ronda (Jim) Klos-McIntosh, Creston, Iowa; Four Grandchildren: Rob (Robin) VanHeeswyk, Pleasant Hill, Iowa; Regina (Brent) Lumpkin, Springfield, Missouri; Michael (Kari) Hudson, Afton, Iowa; and Daniel Froit, Afton, Iowa; Fourteen Great-Grandchildren; Two Brothers: Darrel (Pat) Jennings, Lorimor, Iowa; and Donald (Linda) Jennings, Lorimor, Iowa; Three Sisters: Mary Lou Crouse, Council Bluffs, Iowa; Earla (Ken) Clark, Arispe, Iowa; and Merlene (Clifford) Rynearson, Lorimor, Iowa; Four loving canine kids; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
