Marjorie Collings

Marjorie Ruth Collings, a former resident of Creston, died on June 26 at the Southeast Iowa Behavioral Healthcare Center in Keokuk, Iowa where she had been a patient for the last 11 years. She is now in heaven with her Savor, Jesus Christ.

Marjorie was born April 24, 1943 in Creston, Iowa. She attended School in Creston and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She spent the last 40 plus years of her life in facilities in various towns in Iowa: Creston, Corning, Norwalk, Glenwood and Keokuk. Her family is grateful for the loving care that was given to her in each of these places.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Lola Collings; two brothers; Dean Collings of Chicago, Illinois and Keith Collings of Norwalk, Iowa.

Surviving Marjorie are he brothers Wayne Collings (Barbara) of Mission Viejo, California, Don Collings (Carol) of Forest City, Iowa. And sister Roberta Streblow (Dwight) of Grand Rapids, Minnesota. Marjorie is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all of them.
