Mary Jean Diehl, the daughter of Floyd and Rose Cottrell was born May 16, 1931 in West Virginia. Mary entered eternal rest on Saturday, January 26, 2008, in Vinita, Oklahoma, at the age of seventy-six years, eight months and twelve days.
Mary lived in Creston, Iowa, several years before moving to Oklahoma. She returned to Creston for one year and returned to Vinita, Oklahoma less than one year ago. Mary married Wayne Diehl who preceded her in death. Mary was a homemaker and volunteered her time assisting others by delivering meals.
Left to cherish Marys memory are her children: Linda (Robert) Nelson, Menlo, IA; Conrad (Roberta) Crist, Golden, CO; Sheila (Jerry) Smith, Leon, IA; Scott Smith, Davenport, IA; Christina; Billy Jo “BJ” Jackson, Osceola; Mary Ann Jackson (Fiance Martin Giles), Creston; Eldon “Bucky” Giles, Creston; Brenda (Mark Kneely) Giles, Creston; Thirteen Grandchildren; Many Great-Grandchildren; and Significant Other: Marvin Glidden, Vinita, Oklahoma.
Preceding Mary in death were her Parents; Son, Daniel Crist; and Husband, Wayne Diehl.
