Mildred Leona Kessler was born to Alice (Glassinger) and Henry Everling on July 30, 1914, at Nevinville, Iowa. Mildred entered eternal rest on June 21, 2006, at Creston Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Creston, Iowa, at the age of ninety-one years, ten months, and twenty-two days.
Mildred graduated from Nevinville high school with the class of 1934. She attended the Nevinville Methodist Church as a young girl and was baptized there on June 22, 1937.
On September 26, 1942, Mildred married Harry William Kessler at Grant City, Missouri. She and Harry farmed in the Creston and Greenfield areas prior to their retirement in Creston.
Mildred enjoyed her flowers, her green ash tree, her family and neighbors, and her home in Creston. She was a Charter member of the Eagles Auxiliary; Member of the J. W. N. Club (Womens Club for Arts, Crafts, Home and Garden).
Mildred is survived by one son: Kenneth Kessler of Des Moines, Iowa, and numerous nephews, nieces, and other relatives. Preceding Mildred in death were her Parents; Husband Harry in 1996; Five Brothers; and Three Sisters.
