Burial of cremains will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Prescott at a later date.

Paula Clark Mullinix, daughter of Ralph Thomas and Martha Hurd (Clark) Mullinix, was born on Friday, September 6, 1946 in Baltimore, Maryland. Paula entered eternal rest on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Alegent Health Mercy Hospital in Corning, Iowa at the age of sixty-three years, six months and seven days.
Paula attended Mt. Airy High School in Maryland and graduated with the Class of 1964. Paula continued on to college and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Social Work. Later, Paula obtained her RN Associate Degree at Southwest Iowa Community College. She worked as a Registered Nurse for 12 years prior to her retirement.
Paula was a member of the Prescott United Church Disciples of Christ where she would also fill in as Lay Minister when needed. Paula also served two terms as Mayor of Prescott.
Her life-long passion and enjoyment was her love for animals where Paula rescued numerous abandoned, stray and unwanted animals of all kinds. She tended to their medical needs and gave them enduring love.
Left to cherish Paulas memory is her brother, Gordon (wife Sylvia) Mullinix of Prescott, Iowa; half brother, Greg Mullinix of Baltimore, Maryland and half sister, Heidi (husband Michael) Frego of Alexandria, Virginia.
Paula was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
