Phyllis Ann Yearington, daughter of Harold Gail and Frances Claudine (Chappell) Ogburn, was born on December 5, 1932 in Corning, Iowa. Phyllis entered eternal rest on Monday, December 28, 2009 at her sons home in Freeman, Missouri and the age of seventy-seven years and twenty-three days.
Phyllis attended Corning High School and lived her entire life in Corning. After high school, Phyllis was united in marriage to Rokell (Kelly) Yearington and two sons were born to bless this union: Mike and Jeff. Kelly passed away in March of 1977. In 1980, Phyllis married Chuck Yearington, who proceded her in death.
Phyllis was a homemaker her entire life. She had the heart that cared for people. Phyllis was known as a caretaker for family and friends who were ill. She took pride in her home and loved being there. Phyllis enjoyed camping and Mary Jane and Taz, her two dogs, who provided her with much companionship. Phyllis also looked forward to the dances held in Williamson and attended many over the years.
Left to cherish Phylliss memory are her sons: Mike (Pat) Yearington of Corning, Iowa and Jeff (Linda) Yearington of Freeman, Missouri; grandchildren: Kelli (Kevin) Perrin of Thurman, Iowa, Corey (Andrea) Yearington of Clarinda, Iowa, Kevin (Jackie) Yearington of Corning, Iowa, Jacob and Miranda Yearington both of Freeman, Missouri; great-grandchildren: Alex and Adam Perrin and Hunter and McKenna Yearington; brothers: Darrell (Eleanor) Ogburn of Corning, Iowa and Darwin Ogburn of Godfrey, Illinois; sister, Sharon (Dick) Killman of Afton, Iowa; step-children; step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Phyllis was proceded in death by her parents; husbands: Kelly Yearington and Chuck Yearington; sister-in-law, Jean Ogburn and niece, Angie Ogburn.
