Rob Marxen

Robert Allen Marxen, the son of Donald Leroy and Norma Ruth (Brown) Marxen, was born in Greenfield, IA on September 1, 1955. Rob attended school in Creston and graduated from Creston High School with the Class of 1974. In October of 1975, Rob married Gayla Jean Clear in Creston. To this union, a daughter, Brandy Marie, was born. Rob and Gayla were later divorced.
Rob spent the majority of his working life applying himself in a variety of trades including farming, home construction, over-the-road trucking, working for the DNR and factory work. Most recently, Rob had been employed at Cardinal Glass.
In April of 1998, Rob married Constance “Connie” Lee Weihs in Creston. The two of them, along with their children, grandchildren and other family members enjoyed spending time together. The family spent a lot of time camping, fishing and hunting. Rob loved the big, wide outdoors.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Constance “Connie” (Kannas) Marxen, Creston; his daughter, Brandy (husband Jack) Wagner, Creston; a step-son, Dustin (wife Christine) Weihs, Clarinda; and his step-daughter, Brianne Weihs, Creston; his granddaughters: Paige Marxen, Creston; Alaynna and Caitlin Wagner; Chariton, IA and a grandson, Owen Richards, of Creston; grandsons: Dominic, Connor and Colton Weihs, Clarinda; Rob is also survived by his brothers: Steve (wife Betty) Marxen, Lenox and Ralph Marxen of Creston; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Rob was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Barbara J. Johnson; two nephews: Donald L. Driver and Clinton W. Marxen.
