Todd Michael Murray

Todd Michael Murray, 25, of Creston, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2020 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Pearson Family Funeral Service & Cremation Center in Creston.  Pastor Dan Fields will officiate. Open visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with family receiving from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 15, 2020 at the funeral home. Todd Michael Murray, the son of Christopher Todd Murray and DeneNa Anne (Weese) James, was born on November 27, 1994 in Kansas City, Missouri. He attended preschool in Clearfield and elementary school at Jefferson-Scranton. In 2006, Todd moved to Creston where he attended Creston Public Schools, graduating with the class of 2013.
Todd worked at Cardinal Glass in Greenfield for several years and then at Casey’s as a donut maker. He also worked for a short time at Bunn-O-Matic, Wellman Dynamics, HyVee and Gavalon in Creston. He most recently was working as a drug tester for Baetner Energy, testing windmill installers.
He loved little kids and was a kid at heart. He was known for playing practical jokes on his family and friends.  Todd had a love for animals, especially dogs. He will be remembered as a kindhearted person who would give anything he could to help someone.
Left to mourn his passing is his mother, DeneNa James of Creston; father and step-mother, Chris and Lisa Murray of Creston; twin sister, Felicia Murray (Noah Miller) of Wallhalla, South Carolina; sister, Starla Murray of Creston; brother, Austin Murray of Creston; maternal grandparents, Gary and Ina Weese of Maryville, Missouri; grandma, Joann Davis of Creston;  two nieces: Rose  and Sophia Miller of Wallhalla, South Carolina; nephews: Lucas Miller of Wallhalla, South Carolina; Jake and Jessie Zimmerman of Omaha, NE; Jaden Rogers of Carroll, IA; uncles: Randy (Jeanie) Murray of Maryville, Missouri, Dan Weese of Maryville, Missouri, Rusty Davis (Cheryl Price) of Creston, Bill Davis of Creston and David (Samantha) Weese of Silver Bay, Minnesota; aunts: Tiffany (Brandon) Rogers of Carroll, IA; Tammy Stroup (Randy Boyette) of Maryville, Missouri, Tammy (Tim) Case of Afton and Dawn (Seth) Lindsey of Maryville, Missouri; along with many cousins and other relatives and friends.
Preceding Todd in death was his paternal grandparents, Jack and Evelyn Murray; step-dad, Russell James and grandpa, Larry Davis.
