Viola Reents

Viola Loretta Reents was born to Clara (Winter) and Otto Geidel on May 18, 1912, in Menno, South Dakota. Viola entered eternal rest on October 25, 2005, at Creston Nursing and Rehab Center in Creston, Iowa, at the age of ninety-three years, five months, and nine days.
Viola graduated from Avoca High School in 1931. She attended the University of Cincinnati taking accounting courses. Viola worked as an accountant and cashier for Federal Home Bank in Cincinnati, Ohio, for over 15 years. On June 30, 1950, Viola married William Reents in Orient, Iowa, and moved to Atlantic, Iowa, where she lived until 2001. Viola worked for Hanke Jewelry Store and then opened her own antique shop.
Viola was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Atlantic, Iowa, where she served as an elder; Member of the International Questers and Past National Treasurer; Past Worthy Matron of the Golden Rule Chapter OES; Past President of the Cass County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary; Member of the Za-Ga-Zig Shrine Ladies Auxiliary; and a Member of the Browning Literary Club. Violas hobbies included hand work and she was very artistic.
Left to mourn Violas passing are her sister: Irene Kelly, Creston; her brother: Wesley (wife Marilyn) Geidel, Creston; Nieces: Sharon (husband Donald) Downing, Orient, Iowa, and Karen (husband Rex) Hight, Greenfield, Iowa; Nephews: Douglas (wife Becky) Geidel, Greenfield, Iowa, and Gregory Geidel, Chicago, IL; and several great nieces and nephews.
Preceding Viola in death were her parents; Husband, Bill, in 1975, Brother-in-law: George Felker.
