Wayne Kordick

Wayne Albert Kordick, son of Albert Conrad and Elizabeth Ann (Bindel) Kordick, was born on March 22, 1931 in Madison County, Iowa. Wayne entered eternal rest on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Alegent Creighton Health Mercy Hospital in Corning, Iowa at the age of eighty-two years, one month and twenty-three days.
Wayne graduated from Winterset High School and continued his education earning a Master’s Degree in Vocational Education from Iowa State University.
On June 17, 1961, Wayne was united in marriage to Barbara Jeanne Bryan and three children were born to bless this union: Teresa, Kevin and Alan.
Wayne taught vocational agriculture at Corning High School for thirty-one years. Wayne’s love for agriculture was evident through his work assisting his son-in-law Doug on the farm.
Throughout Wayne’s lifetime he enjoyed his time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Wayne was a devout member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Left to cherish Wayne’s memory is his wife, Jeanne Kordick of Corning, IA; children: Teresa (Doug) Kopp of Massena, IA, Kevin (Julie) Kordick of Boone, IA and Alan (Robyn) Kordick of Allen, TX; six grandchildren: Tyler and Daniel Kopp, Matthew and Andrew Kordick, Kenzie and Kenedee Kordick; sister, Eilleen (Dean) Moore; brothers: Earl (Karen) Kordick, Glenn (Kathleen) Kordick and Harold Zbierski; brother-in-law, Jim Moore.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lorene Moore; mother-in-law, Dorothy Bryan and father-in-law, John Bryan.
